I have just three things to teach:

simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasure.
Simple in actions and in thoughts,
you return to the source of being.

Patient with both friends and enemies,

you accord with the way things are.

Compassionate toward yourself,

you reconcile all beings in the world.

Thus the wise man residing in the Tao

sets an example for all beings.

Because he doesn't display himself,
people can see his light.

Because he has nothing to prove,
people can trust his words.
Because he doesn't know who he is,

people recognize themselves in him.

Because he has no goal in mind,

everything he does succeeds.

~from the Tao Te Ching

I woke up today feeling a twinge of loneliness...however, as the day progressed the feeling quickly vanished. With little to no distractions, It has given me the opportunity to get real with myself. No T.V....not even a western magazine. This is gonna be an interesting way to exist in the world....I'm excited about it.

Slept in today...thank God for moon days...hehehe.

Again my interactions with the Taiwanese people...and the yoga community has been nothing but a blessing and a beautiful experience. There is such a sincere, and genuine reverence extended forward to you as a teacher...one would think it could easily go to your head, but it humbles me, and I feel gratitude to be able to share the little bit that I know, or have experienced through the practice...

One of the students at the studio gave me a tour around Chiayi. Asia's a trip...but I love it.

I was warned that being vegetarian maybe a challenge in Taiwan...but I've experienced exactly the opposite. There are various vegetarian...even organic, vegetarian places. Let me just say I'm loving the food. Its soooo healthy, and afterwards I feel like it's additive to my energy vs. depleting. Wow!...and the fruit...need I say more...I could probably eat a different variety of something or other while here and still not get a taste of it all...

Well...gotta get to bed...bedtime is around 7:30pm...ok, don't laugh, but I gotta early wake up call, and I need to make it to my mat. :)
