I've taken a magnesium sulfate mixture in order to prep for a colonoscopy, and it fully emptied me out (proven by the colon scope) in a matter of an hour, even without apple juice and exclusively vegan fare. So, I'm not sure I understand what the purpose of the apple juice and vegan food is, except to make it easier for your bowels to empty. I'm definitely not sure I understand what any of that has to do with your gall bladder...it all seems to have to do with emptying your bowels. That definitely feels good though...I always enjoy the feeling of being empty, although it lasts only as long as I can wait until my next meal.

Yes, I agree that feeling empty does feel good, however that isn't the purpose of the liver/gallbladder cleanse.

The purpose of the cleanse is to release gallstones that reside in the liver and gallbladder.

Since the stones are released via the bowels, it is important for the colon to be clean so as not to get toxic stones stuck there.

Drinking apple juice 6 days prior 'softens' the stones via the malic acid in the apples juice. The apple juice also has a way of releasing old bile, as well.

The magnesium in the Epsom salts OPEN the bile ducts for easier release of gallstones, as well as having a laxative effect.

Eating vegan fare makes totally sense in that extra bile is produced in the liver when eating animal products. So it is important during the preparation phase that the liver isn't further taxed since the goal is to cleanse the organ and release the stones. Hence, consuming a lighter, easily digested diet.

This has definitely been a learning experience and interesting!!!

Is there actual scientific evidence that you have gallstones? Without scientific evidence, I am skeptical. That said, if it feels good, I also don't see the harm, unless one is malnourished or has some form of body hatred that leads one to believe that her/his body is dirty from the inside out.

Well, removing the gallbladder is one of the fastest growing surgery procedures out there, and it's proven that gallstones do obstruct bile flow.

Due to the nature of our diet in the west, pretty much everybody has gallstones. Some more than others.

I'd rather take preventative measures than to have to go under the knife at some point in the future. Besides, it feels great to have these toxins released. I'm feeling really, REALLY good right now!

I truly feel, with balance, these measures are a way of being independently healthy. I've been around the medical profession in many instances to know better.

However, this is only me saying this. I'd recommend checking out the book, or other resources, and go from there.

cheers!

OK...so one last question...how do you know that the things that came out of you at the end of the cleanse weren't formed as a result of the cleanse? Like, maybe they weren't there UNTIL you started ingesting the cleanse stuff?

Just about everybody has gallstones in our culture through the nature of our diet. It's no secret, because during autopsies they can be easily found in the liver and gallbladder.

There really is no possible way these little guys could have been 'made' during the cleanse. Never in my life have I seen such things come out of me. This is my best assessment.

The are plenty of resources out there that explain how they are formed, what they look like and such.

Dunno if that helps, or answers any questions ... hopefully it does.
