The Coffee Dilemma

I've gone back and forth with the coffee. Intuitively, I know its not good for me. So, I'm quitting it for....let's see...the 3rd or 4th time. Don't know what it is about it...I like the taste...I like the little perk it gives me...but in the long run I'm left depleted. Why drink it for instant gratification...when in the long wrong I will gain no benefit? Its time to give it up for good. Gotta give up the black stuff...I'm moving on. You're not good for me anymore...I'm moving on to bigger and better things.

I'm back to my morning coffee. I get up at 5 and I need something strong. At least I think so.

During the day I do not drink coffee anymore, but in the morning.

I think your efforts not to drink coffee anymore are worth it. Good luck.

Something about it...right? I liked it too for a long time...very much. The taste, the comfort...then I read the following article at this link and realized, I had to stop. I did and I get my kick now from other sources like fresh juices, spirulina, MSM...

Good takes some time but in the long Ursula's worth it :)

Thank you for the perspective. I already feel better about the decision. Will just have to find healthier comforts I guess.

This post has inspired me to give it up too.

I've sworn off coffee many times before, but it has been hard to put my finger on what it is about it that I don't like.

Your post really puts it in perspective.

Also, bhakti yogi, that article is so comprehensive. I've printed it out for inspiration.

In addition to fresh juices for a boost, I also find hot chicory drinks are a nice and relaxing like coffee.

isn't it funny how when i am in india i NEVER drink coffee...don't even miss it for a second..chai is the drink of choice when i am there. then when i get back, i am pulling out the french press again! but, i do have to say that i only have two cups in the morning and then i am good to go. guess i will give it up when i make my move to india!

Yep, I read the article Bhakti yogi posted. Very insightful! Its funny, because something on the inside tells me it not optimal for my body...but reading the article solidifies my decision! Thanks.

Gonna checkout that chicory stuff too! I've heard good things about it.
